Yeah, I've been using some Verbatim for a while, but it seems the brand new Toshiba's have an issue with Verbatim, so it's back to TY for me I needed to use a couple hundred Verbatim up anyway

The problem I've been seeing with Verbatim is when you try and burn past 8X. For some reason it screws the disc up. I've seen it happen on discs I've burned and discs that I've received.

ya probably why they droped them down to 20$. i just been burning slower with them now to make sure. i have to wait till the next sale. im to broke from buying 600 when the verbatims were on sale a few weeks ago.

Not pointing fingers Kon! I've just experienced the problem with the Verbatim discs on sets I've burned. It really sucked have to reburn a 30 disc set. There was only 4 discs that were good, although I did burn them in record time.

I like to burn the TY 8X at 6X myself. and the TY 16X at 8X. Flawless then simply flawless.

i think all discs that say 16x should burn at 16x perfectly.
