Roy Scheider (age 72) is suffering from a multiple myeloma, an
"incurable but treatable" cancer of the plasma cells. He has
been secretly battling the life-threatening illness for months.

Roy, who shot to fame as Sheriff Brody in Steven Spielberg's
movie, 'Jaws' recently underwent a bone-marrow transplant to
treat
the disease and claims the procedure went well.

He said: "It went well They harvested my stem cells I was my
own donor".
