I love my DISH Network, but I don't have an HDTV monitor yet, so adding the HDTV packages isn't worthwhile for me yet. I'll be very interested to read your impressions of the package and programming.

Cool page. It looks like an old retro comic. I love comics from the silver and bronze era.

Dish network cancelled my highly anticipated install for my second dish last week, and have rescheduled for tomorrow...
As soon as it's operational I'm adding the VOOM channels. Way too many movies on Monsters HD to pass up!!!
The animation channel isn't too bad either. Right now they're running Pink Panther, Dick Tracy and Voltron 3rd Dimension. Are either of those last two available anywhere in high quality?
On a side note Billy, did you have to pay full price for your dish? In my area we have two locals that broadcast from the same bird as VOOM so they're installing it for free. After it's connected I just have to add the VOOM channels for the monthly fee...

Yeah, my local installer wanted ~$150.00 for the dish install, and one of my employees told me about the local channels loophole that he used to get it for free. Apparently it doesn't work that way everywhere, and Dish will NOT tell you about it when you call them about VOOM channels.
I think VOOM had ~30 channels before, and the last thing I read was that they were looking to bring more of them over in early 2006. Of course, they're supposedly looking at going to MPEG4 next year as well.

Well, my install was cancelled AGAIN!!!! Now it's backed up to 7/20. But, after much wailing and gnashing of teeth I did get a free month on my Top 180 package
