Beavis & Butt-head creator Mike Judge has selected more episodes to be included in the upcoming 3-DVD release Beavis & Butt-head - The Mike Judge Collection Vol. 2. The studio has stayed mum on this title so far, but both Amazon.com and DVDPlanet.com are showing pre-order listings for a package that will ship on June 6th (my, but that date is getting jam-packed with TV-on-DVD releases...around a dozen so far!). Pricing is a bit different at each eTailer, but very close to each other: Amazon says the SRP is $38.99 and they'll sell it to you for $26.99, making it the better price. DVDPlanet shows a $39.95 SRP and currently presells it for $27.97 after their discount. Stay tuned and we'll bring you details and cover art just as soon as the studio provides it!

Last week we had the heads-up info that June 6th will see the release of Beavis & Butt-head - The Mike Judge Collection Vol. 2, which will go for a list price of just under $40. Now our friends at The Digital Bits has a detailed report about what this 3-DVD set will consist of:

FYI, Beavis & Butt-head will include 40 episodes (17 never before released before on DVD), 13 music videos with character commentary, the Taint of Greatness: The Journey of Beavis & Butt-head, Part 2 featurette, previously unaired segments and more.

Wow, nice! Thanks to Bill Hunt of The Bits (huh huh, huh huh, he said "bits") for that info; it sounds like another good release. Stay tuned for box art and any other updates when Paramount & MTV make their formal announcement.

Beavis and Butt-head - More details & Art for Volume 2
Posted by Gord Lacey
3/21/2006

When Beavis and Butt-Head first appeared on MTV more than a decade ago, critics dismissed them as brainless couch potatoes who did nothing but watch TV and make lewd jokes about bodily functions. Today we know they were ahead of their time. Beavis and Butt-Head's unique idiocy profoundly changed television, movies, pop culture and the world. This historic box set, personally edited by creator Mike Judge, includes their finest episodes, specials, promos and guest appearances that so enriched a grateful and stupid nation. Creator, Mike Judge has chosen his next set of favorite episodes & music videos for this collector's edition box set.

Paramount and MTV have released more information on the second volume of Beavis and Butt-Head, featuring 40 cartoons (226 mins) selected by Mike Judge. Here's what we can expect:

* Music Videos:
o Beastie Boys: Sabotage
o Seaweed: Kid Candy
o Pantera: I'm Broken
o Mercyful Fate: The Bellwitch
o Compulsion: Delivery
o Madonna: Secret
o Six Finger Satellite: Parlour Games
o Pizzicato 5: Twiggy, Twiggy
o Rush: Stick It Out
o Radiohead: Fake Plastic Trees
o Extreme: Hole-Hearted
o Helium: Pat's Trick
o MC 900 Ft. Jesus: If I Only Had A Brain
* Taint of Greatness: The Journey of Beavis & Butt-Head, Part 2
* Butt-Bowl '94
* Butt-Bowl '95
* Butt-Bowl '96
* MTV 20th Anniversary Special
* Calvin Klein Ad Parodies
* Moron-a-thon Clips
* Unaired I Love the 90's Segment
* Beavis and Butt-Head Promos
* Montages
* Previews

The set goes on sale June 6; you can order it from Amazon.com for $27.29 right now.
