Got this from Anime News Network. You might find this amussing
Speed Racer ready to roll? (2005-06-20 13:23:31) Cinescape Online reports that the script for a new Speed Racer movie has finally been completed and submitted to Warner Bros., and that Vince Vaughn is still "locked in" to play Racer X. This is the first news on the film since nearly a year ago when Warner Bros. announced they were restarting the project after several years of false starts. Bobby

Boy, I sure hope so. I remember anxiously waiting with my brother to watch speed racer. Now if only Fox would move their butts and get the DBZ movie underway everything would be perfect.

That rumor started a few days ago after a Mach 5 car was shown at the NYC Liscensing Show.

You can actually buy your very own Mach 5. I saw the specs on it on the official website. There is actually a waiting list on this thing. The last one sold at an auction for about $684,000!
