Nickelodeon has ordered a third season of 20 episodes for the hit show Avatar: the Last Airbender. The new episodes will premiere in 2007. In the meantime, an hour-long animated movie titled The Fury of Aang is scheduled to debut on July 14, 2006.

I heard that avatar was re-newed for a third season a long time ago. I too love this show, so Im very glad to hear its re-newed again, especially with Danny Phantom, Fairly Odd Parents, and Jimmy Neutron getting cut.

i won't be surprised if it gets a 4th season. It does have to cover the 4 major elements, where each element is 20 eps (1 season) long.
