It was. He could never decide if he wanted gold or stew. You'd think gold would have bought him a lot of food, but I guess Smurf stew was a rare delicacy you have to eat just once.

This is so sad! I just found out! Big fan of his voiceover work. I hated when he left gummi bears and winnie the pooh. Jim Cummings versions of Zummi and Tigger just weren't the same for me!

Paul Winchell was a guest panelist on WHAT'S MY LINE? for several weeks back in 1956, and they've been sneaking in those re-runs this week in his memory. He was quite entertaining on these eps, I didn't even know he did Gargamel until this was posted.

As some of you know, I record WML? daily (if I have power, cable works, and I don't do something stupid to miss it).

There was a article in our newspaper and it was saying what characters he did besides Tigger and Gargamel was one of them. I think he also did the guy on Wacky Races.
