At 21:30 today, YTV announced that it has applied to the CRTC for permission to launch a Canadian category 2 TV station called "The Anime Channel". The Anime Channel's programming would be mostly anime and anime related content, geared towards an adult audience.

There is already an anime On Demand channel here, but I signed up for it for a bit, it definitely was not worht the price. Hopefully this pans out a little better.
