The Hollywood Reporter (via Reuters) reports that Larry the Cable Guy will work on an animated pilot for Comedy Central.

The "Blue Collar" comedian will star as a misguided but well-intentioned co-owner of a cable TV station whose other owner is a woman of class and taste who does not share his vision for programming, preferring instead a more traditional station lineup to Larry's experimental, half-baked show ideas. As can be expected, they seldom agree on anything.

Larry is co-creator along with Jole Cohen and Alec Sokolow, the writers of Toy Story.

No word on when the pilot will air.
