Did you guys hear that that The Simpsons team contacted all the cities, towns, etc that are named Springfield for a contest in which each springfield would send in a video of their city. The winner will have a red carpet ceremony for the new simpsons movie at one of their theaters. I am not sure if it is the opening ceremony but I would believe so.
This is cool becuase I live in Springfield Massachusetts. I hope we win. I also heard that in the movie they are going to announce what springfield they are really from. I wonder if it would be the same as the winner of the contest. I got this from my local Springfield Republican newspaper on March 9,2007. Anyone else live in a Springfield? I read that there are 16 different ones.

My vote goes for Springfield, Tennessee! It's somewhat close.
There was an article on it in today's Tennessean (Nashville newspaper).
