Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow have announced that Christina Ricci (The Opposite of Sex, Sleepy Hollow) will join Emile Hirsch in the live-action adaptation of Speed Racer, directed by Larry and Andy Wachowski of Matrix fame.
Ricci will play Trixie, Speed's girlfriend from the classic series. John Goodman and Susan Sarandon have also been confirmed as portraying Speed's father and mother.
