Specs on "Jungle Book" Platinum Edition DVD

Walt Disney Home Entertainment has released specifications on The Jungle Book Platinum Edition 2-disc DVD, which will be released on October 2, 2007, for the 40th anniversary of the movie. Special bonus features will include a look at Rocky the Rhino, a character dropped from the finished film; a retrospective featurette on the making of the film; a commentary track containing archival comments from the original filmmakers alongside contemporary animators such as Andreas Deja and Brad Bird; and a featurette on contemporary animators and artists inspired by the film. Suggested retail price is $29.99 in the United States and $36.99 in Canada.
