Nickelodeon was the number one basic cable network among kids for the fourteenth year in a row in 2007, the network announced today.
Citing Nielsen Media data, the company said that it delivered 2.1 million total viewers, averaged 1.2 million viewers among kids 2 to 11 and 674,000 viewers among kids six to 11. These totals exceeded those achieved by the Disney Channel by 21% and by Cartoon Network by 94%.
In addition, Nick Jr. held seven of the top ten weekday preschool shows on television, with Dora the Explorer ranking as the number one program. Nick Jr.'s top five programs (Dora; the Backyardigans!; The WonderPets!; Go, Diego, Go!; and Blue's Clues) averaged between 780,000 and 850,000 viewers aged 2 to 5 per week.
