The ICv2 retail news source is reporting that Nickelodeon will air the Domo series of animated shorts in America in the first quarter of 2008. The stop-motion anime, which is based on the Domo-kun mascot of the Japanese public broadcaster NHK, consists of 26 two-minute episodes. Nickelodeon first announced its involvement in the anime in May of 2006. The shorts will be accompanied by a nation-wide merchanising blitz.
