Well its about friggin time, they did renew the patent every year and then added a ton of patents in 2003 as well as sign Shocker Toys to do a line then killed it, it will be interesting to see what it looks like

Honestly I would LOVE for it to be a continuation of the original picking up say 12 months AFTER Lion-O goes into the Book of Omens for training at the end of the final ep
Only mere days until Season One Part One comes out heh

It might be a "re-imaging" like Transformers Armada, RID, Cybertron or Energon .... and those are all pretty pitiful compared to G1 or even the trio of Headmasters, Masterforce, Victory.

I hope for the best, but "reimaginings" rarely work out, or they just can't live up to the original. And it's hard to replace Earl Hammond's Mumm-Ra.

Animation HQ reports that a remake of the 80's animated classic Thundercats is in the works at Warner Brothers. The show's new look will be similar to The Batman -- edgy and anime-inspired.
Pre-production is reportedly ongoing. The show should be ready for broadcast sometime in late 2006.
