I would like to share a 700Mb MPG2 file with a friend in California. Does anyone have any recommendations on the best file sharing site to do this, or is there a better way? Thanks

I use badongo.com. You can upload files up to 1 GB in size. I use the Badongo Buddy program to upload files because it works better and faster than uploading files through the website. The upload works better if you right-click on the file and click "Upload To Badongo!" rather than going to the Badongo Buddy program first. I don't know why.

Well, there were twists, turns and false starts, but I finally had success with Badongo! Thanks! I uploaded a 700MB file intact, then, on second PC, downloaded the file in 3 parts, then used a "merger" file to sew them back together again, and the resulting file seems to play just fine! The cool thing, is I can give the link to the file ( http://www.badongo.com/vid/1413844 ) to my friend, and he can go through the same process. (There is another "buddy" process for downloading the file, but I haven't tried that yet.) I think we're in bidness....

I had some problems with Badongo also but I finally got it figured out.

LS, I tried a couple of those sites listed on that thread but I had problems with them. I tried Mediafire and sendspace.

Well plus, it appears that Badongo is the only site listed that can handle a file up to 1Gb (albeit the file has to be split into 3, then merged into 1 again; maybe its limit is apprx. 300Mb without having to split).
