I received a series in a trade that were put on Imation discs. I'm not familiar with this particular brand. Played one disc and there were issues with the audio being jerky for lack of a better term, and it doesn't appear to be the recording. Any thoughts or experiences with this brand?

Haven't had any problems with the CDs for DATA USAGE. Don't know if they'd work for audio, and haven't dealt with the DVDs at all. As far as I've been able to figure out, they were designed with DATA in mind, and not video or audio.

I don't remember having any problems with them. I like them much better than Memorex and Maxells.

Imation is just a brand, brand means nothing.
Read up at http://www.digitalfaq.com/reviews/dvd-media.htm

If CMC, the discs are crap.
If RITEKF1, then the discs are decent, although others are better.

Maxell = CMC = crap
Memorex = CMC = crap

Stop buying disc by the meaningless name branding.

i tried the second disc today, and that played just fine, so I came to the conclusion that it was just the first disc that had an issue. I'm going to try cleaning it. Thanks for the info, though.
