i think i know the answer will be in the negative, but i'll ask anyway.

after recording from a jvc dr-100ms, can i finalise the dvd-r on my pc's burner?

this will allow me to re-use the jvc to record something else whilst i get on with authoring after finalising the dvd-r on my pc.

secondly, can i playback the shows on the dvd-r on the pc without finalising the dvd-r on the jvc (or pc)?

so as to do to a spot check and then decide whether to keep show or reformat the dvd-r.

finally, there is no such thing as an firmware upgrade for the dr-m100s, is there?

ta for any light you can shed to one in the dark!

Finalize on computer? No.
Playback without a finalize? No.
Firmware upgrade? No need that I'm aware of.

the only way to get the info off the disc and onto the pc would be to use isobuster, but even then it would take more time to copy the info back to your pc to view it then it would to finalize it to begin with
