okay people,

imagine i have button 1, button 2 etc on my menu.
when button 1 is clicked, it will play intro, then movie 1.
when button 2 is clicked, it will play intro, then movie 2 etc.

now what i would like to do is have an option on the menu, like a tick/check box, that controls whether the intro is played or not. checked, intro plays, unchecked, skip intro.

this is sort of like whether you want subtitles or not.

however, i'm not sure what to look for in the manual.

so, please tell me the techno-word/jargon that i'm looking for so i can look up for myself, or maybe a quick 1-2-3 how to guide?

cheers up front.

You would make two menus. The "checked" menu would be identical to the first one, only have no intros specified when the buttons are set up. And then if you use a checkbox visibly on screen to show with/without intros, then your background image or motion clip would be different (one a blank box, one with a checked box).

Easy enough.
