VLC is not a file format it is a media player (VideoLan Client).

If you have a VLC file its most likely a playlist or a stream that was saved in VLC Media Player and then its not going to be convertable most times.

My suggestion would be to go to the VLC homepage and ask in the forums, but whatever VLC file you have its not standard so it may take more work then its worth depending on the codecs or format it was originally in.
