Cleaner? I have quite a few programs, and I'd like to narrow it down to 1 or 2, and get rid of some of the installed stuff on my computer.. Right now I have installed:

CCleaner
Spybot
Lavasoft Ad-aware
Xp Tools Pro
Tweak XP Pro
Xp antispy
Tuneup Utilities 2006
Registry Mechanic
Ewido

thats about it i suppose... blah

Ad-aware, spybot are both topnotch.I have had ccleaner, it's alright as well.I don't personally recommend registry mechanic, caused me several problems with multiple pc's.Etrust Pestpatrol is another good one.

I agree with weevil! Ad-aware & spybot have kept my system clean for a year with no problems.

Actually, the best thing to use for both Virus and spyware is Symantec Anti-Virus Corporate Editon V.10. Cleans and protects against just about everything. Of course you need to shell out some $$$ to get it, but I've never had to worry about virus or spyware with it If you need something cheaper that does a good job on spyware/adware the go to Webroot's website and look into spysweeper. It does a pretty good job as well. Can't say I've ever liked Norton's home/residental/consumer stuff.

Spybot S&D with Teatimer
Ad-Aware
WinPatrol
Kerio Firewall
AVG Free anti-virus

All are freeware, all are very effective.
