diff dvd releases
one for you video tech bods.
check out these images. 3 different dvd releases. http://www.tvpast.org/forum/error.gif http://www.tvpast.org/forum/error.gif http://www.tvpast.org/forum/error.gif do we agree that shot 1 shows most on all sides? and shot 2 seems the sharpest? right, now onto my question. why do we get such variations? if it was between a 4:3 version and a 16:9 version i would understand. but in this case, all have been released as 2.35:1 or thereabouts. if the negative/film was actually, say, 2.20:1, then why not make the dvd 2.20:1? why go to all the trouble of making a dvd release and then cropping the final image? any ideas people? |
Thats interesting, usually you dont have that many variations. I wonder if the source was the same for all 3 or if one company did a new transfer (thus having more or less in the pic)
What movie is it? |
I think the movie is Men In Black.. haha j/k
That is insane. |
Then again, you could have a back to the future issue. That was so much of a hassle, I decided to just pretend my discs were okay. [88]
