is there a way to get pal and ntsc on one dvd say region free ?, i know they are different systems but there may be a programme that can make them one file for dvd.

No, it cannot be done. I've seen people try this for years, and it never works. Just make two discs. It's much easier.

dang, I have 30 odd minute clips and odds and ends that i would love on one disc, i have a stand alone DVD Ram recorder, could i put them on that as one disc and transfer it as RAM or would it still be no use ??

it can be done but it will be a super unstandard disc. Right now I got a show from a trade that features PAL menus but NTSC content
