I wonder what it's like up where Jen Stewart is! As I seem to remember, she's in one of the Dakota's.

I grew up in Southern Idaho, -10 to 10 degrees was warm during the winter time. The real sucky part was the always constant 20-30+ mph wind (wind chill). Think about going and milking three Jersey cows by hand morning and night during this weather.(Lazy brothers!) My family wonders why I left the farm when I was 18 and have never been back!!!!
I do feel for Jen S. in North Dakota, it actually gets -30 degrees there on a regular basis. If you die during the winter there you don't get buried till the Spring-seriously! My Great grandfather moved to Dunseith, ND from Poland via Chicago. My grandfather used to say that cows would freeze to death standing up in ND!

Windchills here, caused a wind advisory. Hit - 15 last night.
I feel horrible for any animal or person, without shelter.

Well, I was born in Southern Idaho and was held hostage for 18 years-Kon! My parents were farmer/ranchers with about 1000 acres. So I didn't have a choice.
