Thought this might make you laugh
a guy wrote me about 5 days ago- said, you know, I just don't get it- i put my discs in- they are in perfect condition, and then later on, when they burn there is something on them- like a film. Man, I tried to help him for a week, talked to him on the phone- finally walked him through taking the case of his pc- and inside was this WET substance- greasy. So I tried to think what the HELK could they have done, lube for the drive belt etc- I was totally at a dead end. Then his wife walks in,while we are on the phone- and she sees him with all the pc apart- and asks- whats going on- he tells her- She says OH- maybe thats my fault- it was making a sound when it popped your discs out- so I sprayed PAM in the machine, to get rid of the squeak. he wasn't happy, but man did I laugh.

Again, I can't help laughing...I imagine she had no idea, thought she was being helpful- but the image of my head- when she said "oh, yeah I sprayed PAM in it--to stop the squeak"
I imagine his head, and something out of Scanners.
