Most people like to know what a thread is about before they go to click on it.

In the recent past, I've seen really crappy thread titles, like:
  • help me
  • looking for
  • needs some help
  • my list
Those titles suck.

If somebody doesn't know what is in a thread, they're more likely to NOT click on it. Everybody loses.

The forum now requires a thread title to have 4-5 real words -- note that words like "and" and "the" don't count
AND
with a total minimum of 20 characters.

This should enforce typing better titles. For example:
  • help with broken DVD player
  • looking for some Christmas shows on DVD
  • need help understanding new VCR
  • my list of shows that I want released on DVD
I know what those posts are about!!!

No more guessing and muttering to myself "what the hell is 'looking for' going to be about" while I try to decide if it's worth my time to click and read.

This also helps our forum with SEO, we'll get more incoming traffic (more members, etc)
