Andruw Jones continued his home run tear with a walk off home run shot to left center field Saturday and the Atlanta Braves rolled to an 5-4 victory over the struggling Baltimore Orioles.

Also the Braves have now won 7 of there last 10 games

The Yankees loss there last 4 games and are 6.5 games out of the American East. On the other hand, Texas is 4-6 in there last 10 games. But only 5 games of the American West.

Yeah, it's about to be crunch time here after the all-star break passes. I've not been paying attention beyond casual watching the past few weeks, so I have no idea what day the All STar break is, nor even where it is.

Texas needs to go out and get a pitcher or two. I think that will really help them.

Yankees are just to old and will only play 500 ball all year.

Braves got numerous NL East titles and 1 series to show for, Yankees have nearly 30 titles. How many do the Braves have?

Yea, you are right. Every year the Braves put together a payroll of about $60-80 million and the Yankees spend any where from $150-205 million. So if you want to count all the championships that the Yankees have bought than that's different. Most teams try to earn a championship and not buy one.

U can blame that on MLB not the Yankees..All because there is no salary cap..The more money u got the more u can spend.Hell Turner has more money than Steinbriner. If winning is that important to him, he should be opening up his wallet too.

The Yankees are slowly turning into the dumping grounds of unwanted overpaid players. Their performance will wain more and more as time goes by.

I am enjoying the resurgent RedSox - they are doing better than expected - and awaiting the return of Shil soon - that will be a big morale booster and a killer addition to the pitching staff - I would like to see them sit down the 'embeded yankee' (Wells) when Shil comes back - going to be interestin to see how this year finishes up.
