well, I'll pass on both of them. I got my XBOX modified and thats all I play any more. I don't feel that I need to spend over $500.00 to have fun playing a video game. I mostly play Sega and Super Ninterdo games on my XBOX. I do play a few NES and N64 games as well. I just don't have the money to put into a system that I will not play

Heh heh, I lost interest after Super Nintento. Way too many buttons and way to convoluted for me. (lol)

Finally tracked a shipment to GameStop and stood in line for 7 hours to get a Wii for my son for Christmas and it was totally worth it. Took me 3 weeks of wasting my time running around, standing in lines, and hours on the internet searching for shipments but I got one!!! I was first in line and all the men just watched in envy as I walked out of the store carrying my Wii. The male cashier even said that maybe they should call in the National Guard (which is about a mile down the road) to walk me to my car. LOL! Thank gawd, my car was parked right in front of the store, so I only had about 5 steps and I was in. I made sure the doors got locked as soon as I shut the door. LOL!!!
Hooked the Wii up to my 50" plasma and it's great. I am totally addicted. I have never been a gamer in my life but this thing is awesome.

I never got the chance to purchase either of these units.
But this past weekend, i went to a house party and they had a Wii setup in the living room and a few casual gamers were enjoying it. It was fun, but you know...it's not even worth a purchase.
Two words, EYE TOY. The PS2's eye toy has similar games and a lot more fun to play.
Really, the only thing worth having for the Wii is the new Zelda game...and that I already have for the Gamecube.
My vote, if you really want to get a next gen system....the 360! This coming from a Nintendo fanboy.

I just saw a commercial for the first time for the Wii.Now I'm too lazy to look it up online lol, so can someone answer me a question?Do you have to hop around like a spaz to play games on the Wii like in the commercials? If so that's ridiculous lol, those poor people looked like total goobers on the commercial lol.

NO you don't actually lol...some guys I work with were talking about that...1 on 1 in a boxing game on the Wii. One guy was jumping all around and pretending to box while the other was just standing still and barely moving his arms up and down, and he won! lol.

Its all about the arm movements, most people just get into it
I have had mine open for 4 days now and its the most immersive thing I have ever played.
My wife and I went at it in Wii Boxing for probably 2 hours
The graphics are as expected (basically higher quality in some cases of the gamecube) but its the gameplay that is the seller.
I HATED the Eye Toy, I played it probably once and thought it was the biggest piece of crap I had ever seen. The Wii is a completely different experience as its the first time you feel like the characters on the screen are doing what you want them to
like I have said on other forums, its the first time since the NES in the 80's I have actually enjoyed a video game system and thats saying something having bought EVERY gen of systems (SNES, Saturn, TG16, N64, PSX, PS2, Xbox, even importing like Neo Geo)
