How old were you- if you remember- when you found out Santa wasn't real.
or the Easter Bunny, the Hannukah Elf, whatever fable/story you were told of.

Just curious.

I had an odd background, ue to my parents being different religions- so I was exposed to both catholic, and Judiasm, until my parents divorced.

But I was told of Santa, and firmly believed in him, until I was 9, and came down while my parents were wrapping gifts.
That didn't make me doubt santa, but the next day, when i saw the same gifts, i saw THEM wrap, from Santa- then I knew.

Too clever for my own good.

I think I was 11, but I chose to ignore it until I was 12-13 (it was more fun).
I have a brother 6 years younger, so I played along all the way into high school.

Thanked 1 Time in 1 Post
I was in 6th grade. Kids hounded me horribly. I told them all to F(*K off. (not really, I said something like you are a stupid booger ) I decided to look Santa up in the Encyclopedia, and it said something like he was a mythical creature, so I presented my evidence to my mom and dad. They told be he wasn't real. My stupid little sister (3rd grade) was hidinig under the table and heard the whole thing. Sucks to be her! Now I'm Santa. LOL But my 5th grader is about ready to find out. I think this will be his last year believing.

Well my boy is 9 and I am pretty sure this is it for him - we are going to get through this year probably but he has already asked me seriously once about the existence of Santa and I lied - this just happened a few days ago - I am pretty sure that he has been hearing it from older kids at school. I can't remember how old I was - I think maybe the same age as he is but, i had 2 younger sisters so I had to play along until I was an adult and moved out - they are 11 and 13 years younger than me.

Me? I am 31.
So I was 5 when the 80's started- doesn't that make me a 80's kid?

As far as trading, been trading since 1995 loosely as I started in college with a lending library idea.
But didn't go hard core trading, till 1997 -so its been a decade of 4-5 trades a month now.
geez.
wonder what that adds up to.
