Marcus it calibrates your HD/Reg TV for color/contrast/tint and also calibrates your audio setup for THX certified Audio (are all the channels setup properly, speakers connected and set up properly)

You pop the DVD in and when you are done you will have a officially certified THX AV setup (in theory anyway)
