According to this report at Ain't It Cool News, Brandon Routh will still play the Man of Steel in the stand-alone "Superman" franchise. It is still unknown whether Bryan Singer will return to direct the Superman Returns sequel.
This possibly debunks yesterday's rumor that Warner Bros. was going to cast the actor who will play Superman in Justice League in a separate movie down the line.
