ADV Films has chosen Blu-Ray as its high definition format, and soon plans to release some of its newest titles in it. This may affect ADV's release schedule, as high definition transfers have to be created. Previously Bandai Visual and Sony have released anime titles in high definition formats, so there is some precedent.
