Wired magazine has taken a look at animated advertisements placed in subway tunnels, which consist of LED strips that light up as a train passes by, forming an animated video to the passengers inside. The article examines the advertising revenues that a mass transit system can gather from the ads, and notes how Sidetrack Technologies can control the ad content via the Internet. Videos are also available of the ads in action in the New York/New Jersey PATH system, the San Francisco Bay BART system, and the Beijing subway.
