The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Nickelodeon has ordered 20 episodes of Glenn Martin DDS, a stop-motion animated show produced by former Disney CEO Michael Eisner (free registration required). The show centers on a dentist who takes his family on a cross-country road trip, and is expected to debut next summer as part of the "Nick at Nite" programming block. According to Nickelodeon executives, the show is aimed at the generation of children who grew up on the first Nickelodeon animated shows, and are now in their mid-to-late 20's with children of their own.
