I have some divx files that have the divx symbol in the bottom right corner... I think its encoded there, not sure. I done the divx config utility to remove divx symbol in the corner during playback. But it's still there. Is it possible it won't be there if I encode these .avi's to dvd compliant files? or am I stuck with it Thx

Well, first the required statement:
DVDs made from downloads look like crap 99% of the time. This hobby is deteriorated every time somebody adds these low quality sets to circulation.

Anyway, you are using the DIVX codec. To not see the logo, remove the official DIVX junk off your system. Use the XVID codec package, as it plays DIVX too, without the logos.

And remember to restore the overscan when converting to MPEG. See the guide that I wrote here in this forum, refer to the sticky in the VIDEO TECH area, the CPS DVD creation tips list.

1. I haven't found anyone with decent tapes of Alex Mac. These are clearer than most sets I've seen. My Rocko set is nice, I think so. So, I'll get whut I can take..

Also, I just burned the .avis to a dvd-rw and played it back on my phillips dvd player, and it still showed the logo... it still possible about the xvid codec pack? Thx
