all,

okay so i bought the jvc drm100s. everything looks good so far.

however, when i try to edit out the commercials using tmpgenc mpeg editor, it cannot recognise the lpcm audio. ditto for tmpgenc xpress 3.

mpeg-vcr handles the audio just fine.

so my question is: do i need some codec or something for tmpgenc to handle the audio?

or is there a better mpeg editor that can handle lpcm from the jvc?

all help greatly appreciated. sorry for being such a dumbo...

Womble MPG VCR should handle that no problem

However, I'd use AC-3 audio unless PCM is the final format you're authoring too. It will take up less space and allow more episodes per disc and if you're authoring to AC-3, it will cut the final author time down, since the audio won't need to be re-encoded.
