I am getting a new dvd recorder shortly that records DVD-R DL what is the best brand. I am thinking Verbatim but SMS only sells them in +R for spindles and -R with cases. Does anyone know where I can pick up 25 or 50 pack spindles yet??

I believe they only come in spindles of 20 for Verbatim DVD+R DL, of course they have smaller pks like 1,3, and 10pks, but is more expensive buying that way. If you don't mind online stores I would highly recommend www.newegg.com. I just bought 2 spindles of 20 for $75.00 shipped.

Does Newegg have DVD-R DL. The Pioneer stand alone DVD recorder only uses the -R brands.

Nope it looks like the only "spindles" of DVD-R DL are Ridata and you run a risk of bad discs there (thought the DVD recorder could go so slow in writing it might be OK, I know CompUSA discs work fine as recorder discs because the write speed is slow)
Looks like Verbatim DVD-R DL is 3packs for $13

I wonder how long until spindles of DVD-R Verbatims come out.
I am very uneasy with the Ridata, especially with the sets I make

Well you would only need enough DVD-R DL to do your projects and then once you get them to computer you could just make copies for people on DVD+R DL
