I seen things on dvd in volumes that have random eps from seasons, and then season 1,2,3, etc sets..

Then, I see volume sets that say "first 22 eps from season 1" Why don't they just call it season 1 then?

just wondering.... maybe I am missing something?

It always seemed ot me, volues were almost teasers.

I have volume 1-4 of mork and mindy.
which is 12 episodes.
11 are form ssn 1.

1 is from ssn 3, so it seems like these were the most popular.

It also used to be volumes were vhs- I have a lot of volumes, ripping fiends, soap, bosom buddies.
But it was only when vhs really came to- that seasons were released- but now, I also am seeing volumes coming out. Like Pinky and the Brain.

I second that question- What gives
