I got my catalog from Video Daikaiju and it had a full color really nice looking promo sheet for Ultraman Nexus. Is this series any good, its been the only one so far that makes me think Ultraman is cool

Alright, now! Dont make me go medieval on you,Mark! Ultraman is some of the best toku out there...without Ultra there would be no others! I myself havent seen Nexus yet but I hear its very good! I believe Curtis has seen it! I have recently gotten into Ultraman Cosmos and it is extremely good!

LOL I figured you would chime in ha ha ha, I never really got into Ultraman, my brother used to buy about $100 worth of VHS at every comic convention we would go to but much like Godzilla it was just something I laughed at and thought it was tacky.

Might have to check out this Nexus series though, the insert I got is beautiful and he looks hard core

For those who have NO idea what we are talking about this is Nexus

Ultraman nexus is a excellent series, its the best series i have seen and its one of my favs. i watched all of it including the ultraman next movie (awsome movie). it is a dark series, but it gets better and better every episode.

Its defiently a series worth seeing, the series is part of the Ultraman N project. The ending is a shocker, and its something i wouldn't suspect. But it was one of the best endings i've seen.

I would personally recommend watching it, as you won't be disappointed.

Do you have to know anything about Ultraman before seeing it? I read up some on it and it looks like something I would want to see but I know some of that sentai stuff you should have seen other series to get what is going on

You don't really need to know anything about the series, as each new series is different. New cast, new costume.

The same with super sentai. when i first got into it, I knew nothing about ultraman, super sentai or kamen rider.

In order to know more i just watched the series, its only when you watch it raw. that you need to know about th series, or you wouldn't get much of it.

Their is sites around which can tell you the story of the show, then just watch it yourself to see if you like it or not.

Main site to go to is www.japanhero.com - it covers toku, sentai, kamen rider and ultraman. Most of them have reviews for the shows. but mainly have pictures.

http://home.cfl.rr.com/ultrafaq/Ultraman-FAQ.html - Ultraman FAQ, not much info. but it gives you the basis.

This site has more info on each ultra series including nexus that you can read up on - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultra_Series

super sentai, this site gives you more info on each series - http://www.supersentai.com/

I recommend japanhero the most out of all of those. It seems to be the most informative of the bunch, plus they deal with a lot of pre-70's stuff which I like.

I just finished watching Ultraman Next:The Movie and the first couple of eps of Ultraman Nexus.I must admit, both were really good! The special effects in both were exceptional and the stories were quite gritty and realistic. Nothing light-hearted about either..which I kinda liked! Although I will DIE before admitting I liked either of these better than original Ultraman or Ultraseven!!

I read about Ultraman Next the other day. I heard that Nexus originally tanked in the rankings because it was too adult for kids and adults really did not tune it not knowing it was darker but then word got out and it became a big hit when Adults realized how dramatic it was

I think Ultraseven is the one my brother was infatuated with
