Star Wars will return to movie screens before it comes to television, Lucasfilm and Warner Bros. announced today.
The companies will release a CG-animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars feature film theatrically on Friday, August 15, to North American theaters. Later this fall, thirty-minute episodes of the series will debut on Cartoon Network. International theatrical and television broadcast dates for the film and the TV series will be announced soon. The first of a planned series of web-only documentaries about the development of the series has debuted at StarWars.com.
