No hope of cable any time soon, and we get really bad reception with the rabbit ears. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thanks!

I've never had trouble with rabbit ears living in a city, although I have to use the larger ones. When I lived outside the city, antenna was weak. I had to get satellite or cable or do without.

They have devices that plug into the electric of your house that make you home wiring a big antenna. You can put a massive antenna inside your attic (but not on the roof). If you install a big antenna, it's a lightning magnet, remember that.
