OK I do not mean any disrespect to our out of work members but working 7 days a week from 11p-7am just plain sucks!

I am too tired to do anything I want to do including seeing my wife,
and I am too run down to enjoy any brief time off I may get (we are talking hours not days), I do not even know what day it is anymore, I actually thought today was Tuesday (I dont know if thats funny or sad lol)

Upside is the pay, but what good is it if you are dead in order to never see it used

OK done with my rant and you can now return to your regularly scheduled happy Mark

Could be worse... I used to work for an IT company and was scheduled 10 hours a day, and then on call for the remaining 14 hours. And yes, I would frequently get called at 3AM to drive 2 hours away for an issue after getting home at 11PM from some other town.

Plus worked every holiday except Thanksgiving and Christmas

Lucky for me I was laid off unexpectedly, and after 6 months finally found another job with a decent schedule, AND with better pay!

I had a schedule like that back when I used to work for the DOD, I was also stupid and was salaried which meant the 10 hours mean nothing since I always got paid for 8 straight lol

If you had those things, the companies would find ways to use up your time instead of having it off. Doesn't it sem like companies are pushing people more and more> Sooner or later there's a breaking point.

When I used to work for Commercial Retail Packaging we have worked as much as 84 hours a week for as long as 6 or 7 months straight from 7am to 7pm, so I know exactly where you're coming from.

Now, I would just be content with finding a job, funds are running out quickly. That and I get tired of sitting at home.

What really sucks is supposably having a great salary, then finding out with all the time you spend working it really isn't so great. My last job I was making in excess of a $110,000.00 a year-"BUT I WAS ALWAYS WORKING," or thinking of work. It's great to be self-employed now, but the benefits suck and you fire yourself every other day.

I guess we all have our crosses to bear!
